Pastors College Bibliography: Now Available
From the loneliness of a prison cell in what were most likely the waning moments of his life, the apostle Paul gave his son in the faith this stirring and solemn charge: “Preach the word . . .” (2 Tim 4:2).
Paul’s charge has landed upon the shoulders of each successive generation of pastors throughout the centuries, including our own. It was this charge that motivated the first version of the Pastors College Bibliography (PCB) a number of years ago. Its purpose was to serve the pastors of Sovereign Grace as they heed Paul’s imperative—to study, cherish, and proclaim the riches of God’s Word for the glory of Christ and the good of God’s people. I’m happy to inform you that the PCB has been completely updated and greatly expanded, and it’s now available for your use here.
This resource was assembled specifically with the pastor in mind. It is not an exhaustive list of works from a wide array of theological perspectives. Nor is it designed for those engaged in scholarly research. It focuses specifically on the most important works for a pastor, taking into account the demands on his time and resources, and the focus of his labors -- the preaching and teaching of God's Word.
You can check out the features of the PCB in the “User Guide” on the website. By its very nature, this is a work in progress, and we’ll be updating the PCB regularly as new resources appear.
Our prayer is that the Pastors College Bibliography will be a helpful guide as you serve your church through the faithful proclamation of God’s Word.
